Educational Support
Our Educational Support Programme serves children aged 7–14, strengthening the foundations they need to succeed at school and beyond. Many learners arrive with significant gaps in literacy and numeracy that make it difficult to keep up in class. Through structured, consistent intervention, we help close those gaps and rebuild confidence.
What we provide
Afternoon sessions deliver targeted academic support aligned with the national curriculum. The focus is on:
- reading comprehension and language development,
- mathematics reinforcement,
- study skills and independent learning,
- and preparation for progression into higher grades.
Literacy development
We use the Reading Rocket programme to improve fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary. Learners read daily, receive guided support, and are encouraged to develop a love for books and learning. As confidence grows, so does participation in the classroom.
Mathematics support
Structured, age-appropriate interventions strengthen number sense, logical thinking, and problem-solving. Children work through practical exercises using both digital resources and worksheets available in Afrikaans and English, ensuring accessibility and understanding.
Personalised attention
Learners receive individual and small-group support, allowing facilitators to identify specific barriers and respond with focused help. This approach builds competence, resilience, and positive learning habits.
The result
When children understand their work, they participate more, attend school more regularly, and begin to believe in their ability to succeed. Education becomes a pathway to opportunity rather than a source of frustration.
Cost per learner
R850 per child per month provides daily academic support, learning materials, literacy and maths interventions, homework supervision, and caring mentorship in a safe environment.
By supporting one learner, you help close education gaps and open the door to long-term opportunity.
